Water analysis lab

A dedicated, state of the art water analysis laboratory was established, furnished and equipped with sophisticated analytical equipments capable of performing most water analysis requirements. The equipment include:

CP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrophotometer)

-   TOC (Total Organic Carbon Analyzer)

-   IC (Ion Chromatograph)

-   UV-Vis Spectrophotometer

-   Zeta potential and particle size meters

ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrophotometer)

Uses: to detect trace metals and metalloids in water samples in ppb level. It is a type of emission spectroscopy

IC (Ion Chromatograph)

Uses: Ion Chromatography is used to identify anions and cations in water/environmental samples (inorganic ion analysis). It can also be used for almost any kind of charged molecule including large proteins, small nucleotides and amino acids

UV-Vis Spectrophotometer

Uses: To measure low concentrations of total organic carbon (TOC) using Ultra-violet absorbance (UVA) method

Zeta potential and particle size meters

Uses: To  determine  the  charge  of  colloids present in water samples and their size
